Camp Mwanaume Ltd
The company behind the Riika Program
The Riika Program is a Circumcision Rite of Passage program produced by Camp Mwanaume Ltd. It guides boys aged 13 - 15, with a signed consent agreement from a parent or guardian, through preparation for the rite, the medical circumcision procedure itself, in-camp manhood counselling, and an eventual graduation into manhood.
Camp Mwanaume runs two tracks: a Gĩkũyũ Culture (Irua) based program, and an alternative Multicultural Rite of Passage Program that recognises and includes boys from intercultural family setups.
Vision
An empowered generation of great men.
Mission
To establish a structured character development program that guides boys on their journey to becoming the Next Great Men, founded on human and African cultural values.
